Crispin Young Wilson comes from Hood River, Oregon, who is a server hardware repairer as well as a painting lover. She paints the ceiling of her friend’s son’s room, the tweet of which unexpectedly get more than 30,000 retweets. Here is how it happens.
Crispin’s friend has a little boy who refuses to sleep in his own room. When her friend got a new place, he wanted Crispin to come over to paint the room, which will entice his son to sleep in it.
Crispin used glow-in-the-dark paint so the starscape would be visible only at night when the lights were off. The painting looks absolutely amazing.
Here’s what the room looks like when the lights is on:
When Benjamin was first shown his new room, he was hesitant and didn’t know what the ceiling would look like.
Then his parents flicked the lights off. Benjamin loved it.
He frantically ran to his light and switch to watching the stars above his bed appear and disappear again and again.
Crispin says she’s been painting this incredible artwork for some time. “I’ve done this for myself in each place I have lived. The landlords either never knew, didn’t care, or new tenants liked it and didn’t complain,” she said.
Crispin says she has been flooded with requests from people to paint their rooms .”It’s a little surreal, but I’m just so touched at how positive it’s been,” she said. “I’m definitely hoping to keep doing this and keep getting better at it.”
